ABOUT FAIRLY OBVIOUS
Fairly Obvious are a progressive pop-punk band from Taupo, New Zealand, blending big hooks with restless energy.
In early 2026, the band opened for Zed, Iggy Pop, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts at the Summer Concert Tour — a huge milestone for a band that only begun writing original material months earlier.
The Taupo four-piece assembled a full set of original songs and released their debut single Picnic Holiday soon after, followed by the next single, SpaceBetween, released August 6 .
Their debut album is in the final stages of production for release in September and alongside a powerful live show, Fairly Obvious are quickly building momentum and establishing themselves as one of New Zealand’s emerging acts to watch.
